Mocha Smoothie – recipe

March 17, 2012 in Breakfast, Recipes, slide show recipes by Cathy

I love this recipe when I am in a hurry in the morning.  It’s full of protein, calcium, potassium and it even has a little KICK…..BAM!

This is for me and the kids but you can adjust it to any amount you need.

When I threw it together one morning I wondered what the folks over at Tasty Kitchen would think.

TADA!

RECIPE:

Start with a hand full of frozen banana pieces per person (I always have these in the freezer)

YA YA YA I know they look gross but hey they’ve been frozen…..

Then add 1 cup of Chocolate Soy Milk per person (I love Soy in the morning cause milk makes me feel ooogy).  If you don’t like soy milk TRUST me you won’t taste it in this recipe.

Glug glug glug

Then add 1 tsp of instant coffee (I use decaf) per person.

It will taste awesome…I PROMISE!

Then blend it on low until the bananas are chopped up …then blend on high until the consistency of soft icecream….

YUM !
